From a systemic view, I believe we all need and want to relate to others. Our connections provide us with safety and security. For many people, it can be difficult to create and keep these connections for several reasons. I work holistically with you in a client centred way to identify goal and collaboratively work together to meet them.

I work from an attachment-based, trauma informed model to help heal the wounds that hurt you from becoming that person you always wanted to be as an individual and within your relationships. This is collaborative, client centered and strength based.

It takes courage and strength to reach out, be vulnerable and be willing to be curious about yourself, your emotions and patterns of relating to others.  I endeavor to form a secure therapeutic alliance with you to create safety and trust to lead to meaningful change and help you heal and bring harmony back into your life.

I hold both a Clinical Master degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Nursing degree. I also hold a certificate of competence in gerontological nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association.

I work with individual adults over the age of 16 years, couples and families.  I have over 25 years experience working with mental health issues including personality disorders, life cycle changes, disordered eating, aging and chronic illness, death and loss of a child and loved one and relationship issues including infidelity. I am passionate to work with family of origin issues and family cut-offs and estrangements. m a member of the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapists.

I continue to also work as a registered nurse in rehab and geriatrics.

From birth to death we are most happy when we feel seen, heard and connected enough to leave the nest of our attachment figure(s)and navigate the world and then return

I love nature and the animals within. Being outside and having the freedom to explore and smell the freshness brings me a sense of ease

I love traveling. A goal in the next few years is to travel to Australia and visit the zoo to hold a koala bear.
