Sometimes life can present challenges that feel insurmountable. You may feel overwhelmed, like you haven’t been given the tools to succeed, or like other people, experiences, or circumstances have tried to write your story for you.
I maintain a client-centred, trauma-informed, and holistic approach and strive to give the authority over your life back to the person who should have it: you. I work from a foundation of empathy and believe in the potential for growth in every client.
My goal is to help you reach your potential and feel both empowered and excited to write the next part of your story. Above all, I want to create a space where you feel safe and welcome to be yourself. Our therapeutic work will be catered to you, your experiences, and what you hope to get out of our time together.
Sometimes small keys can open big doors. I look forward to helping you find the ones that work for you and create a life that feels like your own.
I am a practicum student in the University of Manitoba’s Counselling Psychology Master’s Program. I have worked as a counsellor in mental health housing facilities, men’s, women’s, and youth addiction treatment centres, as well as with Shared Health’s Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Program.
I have supported clients experiencing depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, BPD, substance use concerns, trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, academic stress, spirituality concerns, and performance psychology.
Outside of the therapy room, I find a sense of peace through physical exercise, writing, and playing music. I also love soccer and theatre. When I was younger, I used to study maps for fun because I wanted to learn about different countries around the world, so feel free to quiz me on the capital of any country (although I can’t promise I haven’t forgotten a few!).
